Pediatric Urgent Care Services Available

This is a small sample of urgent care treatments and services available from Pediatrics of Central Florida:

Fever treatment: a fever is often the first sign of illness or infection. Treatment includes diagnosing the underlying reason for the fever and reducing the fever symptoms.
Virus treatment: colds and the flu can cause severe illness in your child, keeping your child out of school for days or weeks. Treatment includes symptom relief, rest, fluids, and palliative measures to help your child be more comfortable.
Infection treatment: infections are common in children, especially ear and eye infections and strep throat. Treatment includes diagnosing the type of infection and prescribing antibiotics to eliminate infection.
Cuts, bruises, and lacerations: injuries in children are common, especially if your child is active. Treatment includes closing any open wounds, applying topical antibiotics, and bandaging the area.
Sprains and strains: muscles, tendons, and ligaments can all be injured playing sports, or being involved in an accident. Treatment includes immobilizing the area while it heals, and providing pain relief.
